Glossary

A quick review of this glossary may give the impression that life with God in UNCORKgenius is mostly science fiction! While that is certainly one dimension, the most important thing to know is that God loves you even more than you love yourself. With that in mind, the following glossary introduces terminology related to supernatural healing. Although some of these terms overlap with those used by other groups, our lingo may be unfamiliar to you.

--

  • Alters – Short for “alter ego.”  Synonyms include Child Parts, Inner Kids, Soul Kids, and Parts.   See Child Parts for description.

  • Agency -  The ability of a person to fill out their existence, and be an agent of their reality.  This includes having authority, stewardship, stability, maturity over what one is supposed to be and do, like a character in the novel filling out their role.

  • Angel - a non-human, bodiless spirit acting as a messenger of Heaven.  Angels are like stagehands in the movie of your life, helping advance the narrative of God’s epic love story.  Though they have powers much greater than our natural abilities, humans united with Christ supersede them.  Angels never tire of worship since they are always experiencing something new to love about God.

  • Antichrist – This is usually meant to be somebody who will show up in the last days to oppose Jesus. However, our conviction is that it actually represents a false fathering, which tries to prevent the new life Christ is manifesting. So, it is the attempt to oppose Christ, not by trying to match His force, but by contraception.

  • Apokatastasis – The Greek word “to restore.”  See Restoration of All Things and Universalism.

  • Apostle – One of the five “jobs” or offices listed in Ephesians 4:11, along with pastor, teacher, prophet, evangelist.  Everyone has one by inheritance and manifests it through maturity.  God will not call a child to do the mission of an adult.  The call of the apostle is to organically spread the life of God.  It also coordinates the rest of the mantles, similar to the thumb on a hand.  The counterfeit of the apostolic mantle is the Prince of Rome, which mechanically expands by forced subjugation, like an army of stormtroopers.  The Kingdom of God spreads like one brother recognizing another brother and having a banquet.

  • Assignment Shift - A multi-year transition of seasons in the life of a person, marking a change in purpose, like the beginning of a new book chapter. An Assignment season normally cycle through large time periods of Forgiveness (rest), Repentance (reap), Sowing (sow).

  • Atmosphere - This is one of four realms along with land, sea, and the galactic.  It refers to either the social group dynamic in the natural world or the spiritual weather patterns in the supernatural.

  • Attunement -  Sensing and responding to another’s state with nonverbal cues and emotions.  For example, a parent notices subtle sadness in a child and responds with warmth.  Attunement is about noticing another’s emotions; Mirroring is about reflecing that back to them; Co-regulation is about helping to manage emotions; Resonance synchronizes emotions.  These amplify healing, since they provide a type of receipt from the other person of mutual self-gift.

  • Autumn - One of four personality temperaments in the soul, along with Winter, Spring, and Summer.  The Autumn highlights that the will has an appetite for goodness; the Winter highlights that the intellect has an appetite for truth; the Spring highlights that the emotions have an appetite for beauty; and the Summer highlights the appetite for harmonic oneness of all of them.

  • Background Personality – The back half of a soul’s temperament.  For example, in the foreground of his personality Dave is an ESTJ, to reveal the background, the letters can simply be flipped, which gives INFP.  A synonym for background personality would also be Second Set and some refer to it as the Shadow, but that term has multiple meanings.  Same as Personality Complement.  See also Second Set, Shadow.

  • Birthright – A set of rights that a person is entitled to by virtue of being born (that is, conceived).  It is what is prepared, permitted, and encouraged in the movie script of your life.

  • Bible - The collection of inspired writings telling the love story of Jesus with humanity.   It is not a set of principles that we need to follow to be acceptable to God, that inadvertantly replaces the Holy Spirit.

  • Charism -  In culture, this may refer merely to a gift, but we use it to mean a spiritual gift (or “charismatic gift”), such as prophecy, tongues, healing, visions, etc.  These are not ends in themselves, but means that God uses to accelerate or amplify love. Miracle grow.

  • Charismatic Gifts - See Charism.

  • Charismatic Renewal - The wave of people in Christianity that experience the charisms.  This is the fastest-growing phenomenon in humanity. In 2006, the Pew Forum on Religion and Public Life conducted a study estimating it covered one-fourth of Christianity, and that within 50 years, it is expected to saturate it completely.

  • Cognitive Functions - Eight two-letter combinations of personality qualities that Swiss psychologist Carl Jung devised to describe the preferential order of qualities in the soul.  For instance, the first one listed in the function set (Te, Ti, Fe, Fi, Ne, Ni, Se, Si), the first is “extroverted thinking” (abbreviated Te) and describes the combination of thinking and extrovertism, usually expressed as thinking out loud.  These functions can be thought of as the most prominent colors in a personality.

  • Child Parts - Synonyms include Alters, Inner Kids, Soul Kids, and Parts.  These are places in a person’s soul that act like little kids. If you think of your spirit as a parent, then your soul would contain these kids, and your body is a type of house or temple that you and God live in.  When people use the term “alters,” they usually mean “disassociated alters” or ones that have somehow been disconnected from the rest, acting autonomously and needing reintegration with God and the rest of the person.

  • Church — The church is not Christian buildings or Christian denominations, but the presence of Christ in people.  Normally, this refers to those who have a conscious covenant of mutual self-gift, but also includes those who are not directly aware, such as people in the past (e.g., Moses), in other nations (e.g., the Queen of Sheba), or those unable to be fully conscious (e.g., unborn children).  It is primarily about the intimate presence and life exchange of God’s love.  That is, the church is the Bride of Christ.

  • Core Self — The center of a person, proceeding from the spirit.

  • Co-Regulation – A shared process where two or more people work together to achieve emotional balance.  Typically, this involves a caregiver or another regulated person providing external support through presence, tone, touch, or by modeling calm behavior to help someone return to a regulated state.  Attunement is about noticing another’s emotions; Mirroring is about reflecing that back to them; Co-regulation is about helping to manage emotions; Resonance synchronizes emotions.  These amplify healing, since they provide a type of receipt from the other person of mutual self-gift.

  • Critter — Derogatory shorthand for a demon, used because the church and culture tend to give evil more respect than it deserves.

  • Cross — The act of Jesus giving His life for everyone.  Jesus let go of His “single” life and gets “married” to His Bride.  It is not only about paying sin debts, although that’s essential — like paying off your fiancée’s credit cards.  Our role is not to try to pay off the debts Christ has already paid, but to ‘die’ in every place where we are trying to love without God.  The cross is not suffering for the sake of suffering, but suffering toward a resurrection.  Crosses that are genuinely from God are designed to produce new life, just as a seed lays down its life for a fruitful tree.

  • Communion - Most often thought of as the practice of eating bread and drinking wine to enter into a 'common union' with God. However, perhaps a better, deeper way to see the real essence is as a type of divine marital bedroom chamber.  The temptation is either to avoid this intimacy (a sexless love, often associated with Protestants), or to mechanize it (a loveless sex, often associated with Catholics).

  • Destiny – The script that God has written for the future.  God gives us the freedom to play within it and to be partial, secondary co-authors.

  • Energy - Short for 'spiritual energy,' meaning the power that is generated and exchanged with others and environments.  Everyone is always giving and receiving energy.

  • Evangelist - One of the five “jobs” or offices listed in Ephesians 4:11, along with pastor, teacher, prophet, evangelist.  Everyone has one by inheritance and manifests it through maturity.  God will not call a child to do the mission of an adult.  The call of the Evangelist is to go out, exercising attractive power and joy.  The counterfeit of the evangelist mantle is called the Prince of Persia, which applies violent pressure.

  • Exchange Rates - The ratio of giving to receiving, often referring to spiritual energy, but also applies to finances, time, presence, or other valuables.  It should result in a win-win outcome.

  • Exhorter -  The fourth of seven spiritual temperaments, dealing with power, energy, humor, enthusiasm, boundary-breaking, gravity.

  • Foreground personality - The standard set of personality letters. For example, Zia is an INTP, which indicates the foreground of her personality. To determine the background, the letters can simply be flipped, resulting in ESFJ. See Background Personality or Second Set. Also synonymous with Personality Complement.

  • Fragments - The particular qualities of a child part.

  • Ghosts - People who have died and been separated from their bodies, but have not yet gone to Heaven. Also called Lingering Spirits, they exist in a type of dream space within the dimension known as Hades, or the Second Heaven. This group is comprised of those who have not yet allowed God to give them Heaven as a gift. Their refusal or inability to surrender their unfinished business to God keeps them in Hades. Rather than engaging with them directly, we simply invite God to show these people His face and bring them Home; otherwise, they remain on the stage of our lives and clog up the plot.

  • Giver - The fifth of seven spiritual temperaments known for nurturing stewardship, such as gifts, money, celebrations, and physical items for the goal of fruitfulness.

  • Grace – Means “gift” or “charism.” See also Grace Model. It describes Christians who live out the belief that absolutely everything is a gift from God and that nothing can be earned by performance. God requires only our “Yes,” which is similar to saying “I do” in response to a marriage proposal. Everything else is an outworking of that “I do.”

  • Grace Model – Dave’s name for Grace.  See Grace above.

  • Gravity - Short for “spiritual gravity,” which refers to the perceived or actual force that draws things together. A healthy ratio of sowing, resting, and reaping causes a person to gain “spiritual weight.” As a result, one attracts even more, since greater mass brings greater gravity. When gravitiy is functioning rightly in the Spirit, it first increases our intimacy to and from God.

  • Hades -  The dimension of reality that bridges Heaven and earth, also known as the Second Heaven—distinct from the First Heaven (the physical sky) and the Third Heaven (the perfect presence of God). Hades is described as the birth canal for being born again into the next life. It is similar to purgatory, as understood by Catholics, Orthodox, Anglicans, and others, except that no one has to “pay” for Heaven with time or suffering—one can only say “Yes” to the gift of God. Hades includes hell, the place furthest from God, which contains those who are actively saying “no” to Him.

  • Heaven – The full presence of God—the place of perfection, infinite love, eternal life, and supernatural paradise. Also known as the Third Heaven, it stands in contrast to the Second Heaven (Hades, which bridges the supernatural and the natural) and the First Heaven (the physical sky). It is the world of God as our Author, as opposed to our world as characters in His story.

  • Hell - Usually thought of as the opposite of Heaven, hell is actually the place within Hades that is furthest from God. Our conviction—which was the dominant Christian view until around 500 A.D.—is that hell is finite, not punitive but restorative, and that everyone eventually reaches Heaven. Today, about 20% of Christians hold this theology, called Universalism. This perspective uniquely addresses several issues:

    a) How can we rejoice in Heaven if people burn forever in hell? We can, because no one does.
    b) How could God send a person away infinitely for finite sins? He doesn’t.
    c) How does mercy truly triumph over justice? If hell doesn’t exist, there is no justice; if hell is infinite, there is no mercy. But if hell exists and is finite, then truly, Love never fails.

  • Holy Spirit - Not a vague, wispy, or abstract spiritual force, but rather the Mother God—the wife of Father God, who is not a widower. Several clues support this perspective:
    a) The biblical images for the Holy Spirit are feminine;
    b) Jesus promised the maternal Comforting Advocate to mentor us into all reality;
    c) The word for Spirit is feminine in several biblical languages.

When a child is baptized, the result is not “three men and a baby,” but adoption into the family of God.

  • Inheritance The reality that Christ has purchased everything needed for you to live out your life—including your birthright, destiny, stewardship, and more. This is similar to how an Author prepares everything for a character: plot, props, settings, and a story arc.

  • Inner healing - Often thought of as trendy prayer counseling meant only for people with trauma, but it is actually the gospel for everyone, with the proper highest attention given to love on the inside. It could also be called the gospel for emotions—typically the most un-nurtured area of the soul, and therefore the most unguarded. As a result, this is often the place where the most influential healing occurs.

  • Inner Kids –Synonyms include Alters, Child Parts, Soul Kids, and Parts.  See Child Parts for the description.

  • Jesus - The Author, main character, love interest of our reality.  We live in an epic, romantic love story, that He Has written himself into.

  • Lingering Spirits – See ghosts.

  • Love - God.  In both culture and the church, love is too often seen as only one part of a greater whole. Love is not just a choice of the will, a thought in the intellect, or a feeling in the emotions. While these are dimensions of love, God is complete love. Properly understood, love is actually supernatural, since God Himself is supernatural. The greatest love is expressed as mutual self-gift—a type of supernatural marital communion.

  • Macro Prayer - Inviting God to take over a larger spiritual system that affects you. At a minimum, we ask God to heal its influence on you, but often He wants us to invite Him to go further. Examples of these macro, larger systems include family, churches, culture, government, the occult, and seasons of the timeline. Macro Prayer contrasts with Micro Prayer, which focuses on healing a particular aspect within you, often addressing child parts.

  • Mantle - The five “jobs” or offices descriptions referenced in Ephesians 4:11, that everyone has by inheritance and manifests it through maturity: apostle, prophet, teacher, pastor, and evangelist.  Note that the mantles of Prophet and Teacher are different from the spiritual temperaments of Prophet and Teacher. Having a particular spiritual temperament does not necessarily mean that you carry that corresponding mantle. The five corresponding false mantles would be:  prince of Rome, Prince of Babylon, Prince of Greece, Prince of Egypt, Prince of Persia.  The five mantles are also called the “five-fold” gifts.

  • Mercy - The seventh of seven spirit temperaments, with an emphasis on presence, identity, healing, harmony, oneness.

  • Mercy Seat - The central, most intimate place within a person, where God and the individual rule together inside the temple of the self. This concept is rooted in the Old Testament image of the throne at the center of the Jewish temple, where the Shekinah presence of God would dwell.

  • Micro Prayer – Inviting God to heal something broken within the soul, such as a Child Part. This is in contrast to Macro Prayer, which addresses larger systems like the family line or the church.

  • Mirroring - Reflecting another’s emotions back to them through facial expressions, gestures, and mirror neurons—for example, smiling when a baby smiles or showing sadness when someone is sad. Attunement involves noticing another’s emotions; mirroring is reflecting those emotions back; co-regulation is helping to manage emotions together; and resonance is synchronizing emotions. These processes amplify healing, as they provide a kind of “receipt” of mutual self-gift from the other person.

  • Near Death Experiences - About one in seven people have had Near-Death Experiences (NDEs), which are like round-trips to Heaven, or at least to the Second Heaven. This is similar to an Out-of-Body Experience (OBE), except that with an NDE, the person has either died or been near death. Common reports include encountering a realm of supernatural love that is beyond description or ordinary experience. Typical elements include a Tunnel of Light—a kind of birth canal for being born again into heaven—the option to have a life review (similar to scrolling through a set of film thumbnails), and frequent encounters with Jesus, family members, angels, or even pets.

  • Occult – The organized, clandestine effort to gain supernatural power through the death, trauma, and suffering of others. Love gains spiritual power by laying down one’s life; the occult seeks to gain power by taking it.

  • Out-of-Body Experiences – Out-of-Body Experiences (OBEs) are similar to Near-Death Experiences (NDEs), except they do not involve being near death. During an OBE, a person has a kind of round-trip visit to Heaven, or at least to the Second Heaven.

  • Parts – Synonyms include Alters, Child Parts, Inner Kids, and Soul Kids.  See Child Parts for the description.

  • Pastor - One of the five “jobs” or offices or offices listed in Ephesians 4:11, along with apostle, teacher, prophet, evangelist.  Everyone has one by inheritance and manifests it through maturity.  God will not call a child to do the mission of an adult.  The counterfeit of the Pastor mantle is the Prince of Egypt.

  • Pentecost - The first major experience of the Holy Spirit, occurring literally “50 days” after Easter. Pentecost represents the birthday of the Church, the first major outpouring of the charismatic gifts, and the first dramatic experience of God expressing His “drunk in love” nature.

  • Performance - What necessarily happens when we are not living in the reality that everything is a gift (see Grace). A person under Performance operates as if they need to behave, believe, or feel a certain way in order to earn God’s love.

  • Personality Complement – See Second Set and Background Personality.  Similar to the Shadow.

  • Personality Types - The theory of 16 personality types developed by Swiss psychologist Carl Jung. An example is the ESFJ type: Extrovert, Sensing, Feeling, Judging. This framework efficiently reveals a person’s natural dynamics. For an ESFJ, energy begins with the external world (E – Extrovert), communicates feelings (F – Feeling) in practical, detailed ways (S – Sensing), and is organized and structured (J – Judging)—all oriented toward the goal of Goodness (the Autumn temperament). Taken together, this type can be described as a maternal figure, desiring everyone to feel at home in the world, like Heaven on earth. Thus, in prayer for healing, it can be helpful to invite the Holy Spirit to be an even better mother than they are, allowing for deeper comfort and restoration

  • Promised Land - An inner healing language, this refers to the unacquired, yet promised places that God desires to claim and transform—by allowing Him to release His presence there. While this can refer to external things, such as getting a better job, it is best understood as the areas within the soul where God has not yet been invited in. Acquiring the unclaimed land within the soul is the most effective way to ultimately acquire the unclaimed land outside the body.

  • Princes - One of five authorities from the kingdom of darkness: the Princes of Rome, Greece, Egypt, Babylon, Persia try to counterfeit the five mantles:  apostle, teacher, pastor, prophet, evangelist.

  • Prophet - 1.) The first of the seven spirit temperaments, characterized by an emphasis on vision, design, DNA, conception, justice, and wisdom. 2.) One of the five “offices” or roles listed in Ephesians 4:11, alongside apostle, pastor, teacher, and evangelist. Everyone has a mantle woven into their birthright, which is accessed upon maturity—God will not call a child to fulfill the mission of an adult. The counterfeit of the Prophet mantle is represented by the Prince of Babylon.

  • Portals - Any place of distinct change—spiritual or physical—that functions like a door in a house or a chapter in a movie. These are places where transitions occur, marking the movement from one phase or experience to another.

  • Queen of Heaven - The second highest authority in the kingdom of darkness, this entity attempts to counterfeit the role of the Mother Holy Spirit. In the Bible, she is also known by fertility goddess names such as Ishtar—a Mesopotamian deity associated with love, fertility, war, and power. The goal of this spirit is to steal and destroy first fruits, such as the foundational “motherboard” of a person’s nervous system.

  • Realms -  The four spiritual regions: land, galactic, sea, air.  These correspond to the four personality temperaments:  Autumn, Winter, Spring, Summer.

  • Resonance - A deep, mutual state where two people’s emotions or energies are in sync, creating a “felt sense” of connection and understanding.  It’s like the sympathetic vibration of guitar strings.  Attunement is about noticing another’s emotions; Mirroring is about reflecing that back to them; Co-regulation is about helping to manage emotions; Resonance synchronizes emotions.  These amplify healing, since they provide a type of receipt from the other person of mutual self-gift.

  • Restoration of All Things - The belief that God will ultimately rescue and restore everything, as highlighted in Acts 3:21, 1 Corinthians 15:28, and Colossians 3:11. This concept is synonymous with Apokatastasis, the Greek word meaning “to restore.” (See also: Universalism.) At the core of all being, everything is Christ—the Author of reality. However, the drama of life is that we often find don’t live first from this core. The plot of our life’s story is to allow God to heal us and become “all in all,” transforming everything fully through His love—on earth as it is in Heaven.

  • Redemptive Gifts – Also called RGs. See Spirit Temperaments.

  • Resurrection - The event where Jesus fully conquered death, sin, evil, and suffering—displacing them with life, holiness, goodness, and healing. n the deepest sense, this is a marital “laying down of life,” enabling us to share in a unitive existence with Christ. We are invited to put our lives in common with His, participating in the victory and intimacy He has won for us.

  • RGs - Short for Redemptive Gifts. See Spirit Temperaments.

  • Ruler - the sixth of the seven spirit temperaments, with an emphasis on coordination, authority, leadership, fathering, institutions.

  • Sabotage Child Part - A child part within the soul that acts in direct opposition (180°) to your core desires, often causing you to do what you don’t truly want to do. This part is like a very young child who refuses to cooperate with parents or siblings until their demands are met. Often overlooked or unconscious, these subversive parts may need to express and even enjoy their rebellious behavior as part of the healing process.

  • Second Set – This concept—also known as Background Personality or Personality Complement, and overlapping with the notion of the Shadow—refers to the “back half” of a soul’s temperament. For example, if Carl Jung’s primary (foreground) personality is INTP, flipping the letters reveals his background personality: ESFJ. Technically, in personality theory, this often refers to the third and fourth conscious cognitive functions in a person’s stack, or even the fifth through eighth unconscious functions. These background aspects fill out the personality, such simlar to complementary colors in art.

  • Self-Gift - The greatest expression of love is mutual self-gift. This is essential to true intimacy and is most perfectly imaged in the resurrection of Christ, in the union of marriage, and, to some degree, in all healthy relationships. It is the act of giving oneself fully for the good of another, creating a space for deep connection and transformative love.

  • Self-Trafficking - A state in which we outsource our desires and use ourselves for purposes that are contrary to our deepest longings. Instead of honoring our true selves, we allow external influences or pressures to dictate our actions, leading us away from what we genuinely desire at our core.

  • Second Heaven -  See Hades.  Contrasted with the First Heaven of the physical earth in the sky, and the Third Heaven of eternal paradise, perfect love, the presence of God.

  • Servant - The second of seven spiritual temperaments with an emphasis on comforting, cleansing, hospitality, intercession, mothering.

  • Shadow - An ambiguous term in everyday conversation, but in the context of personality cognitive functions, it often refers to the third and fourth conscious functions, or even the fifth through eighth unconscious functions. The usage can be inconsistent, but generally refers to areas of the soul or personality where there is less awareness or conscious control. (See also: Second Set.)

  • Shekinah - The Shekinah refers to the presence of God in the temple. Today, we experience this as the Holy Spirit dwelling at the center of our being. The challenge is that we often do not live from this center; instead, we tend to operate from the outer areas of our soul—our natural efforts, thoughts, and feelings. The true goal is to be present to God first, allowing His presence at our core to satisfy every aspect of our lives.

  • Soul Kids – Synonyms include Alters, Child Parts, Inner Kids, and Parts.  See Child Parts for the description.

  • Sow/Rest/Reap – The phases of growth—sowing, resting, and reaping—are usually seen as natural processes, but Jesus teaches them as supernatural realities. When guided by the Spirit, a balanced rhythm of all three yields the best “crop” in life. Sow/rest/reap can correspond to giving, resting, and receiving; or, in a spiritual sense, to giving, forgiving, and repenting. Harmonizing with this Spirit-informed cycle allows for greater fruitfulness in life.

  • Spirit Colors - Another way of saying Spirit Temperaments.

  • Spirit Temperaments - The seven spirits of God—listed in Romans 12 and referenced in Revelation 1—are imprinted on creation as: Prophet, Servant, Teacher, Exhorter, Giver, Ruler, and Mercy. These represent the arrangement of spiritual, supernatural “colors” within the light of your spirit. This concept was present in the early charismatic renewal, taught by figures like Bill Gothard, and later significantly expanded by Arthur Burk. It expresses how everything in creation has a unique order of these spiritual “colors” or temperaments. Note that Dave prefers the term “spiritual temperaments” over names like “Redemptive Gifts” or “Motivational Gifts,” since these are not primarily gifts but inherent dispositions, and not strictly redemptive but existential. In other words, they are a type description of your spirit’s nature. Everyone possesses all seven “colors,” but in a unique order. Inviting Christ to saturate these temperaments brings out the unique artistry of each person, revealing how they reflect the image and creativity of God.

  • Summer - One of four personality temperaments in the soul, along with Autumn, Winter, and Spring.  The Autumn highlights that the will has an appetite for goodness; the Winter highlights that the intellect has an appetite for truth; the Spring highlights that the emotions have an appetite for beauty; and the Summer highlights the appetite for harmonic oneness of all of them.

  • Spirit - This can refer to either the Holy Spirit or your own spirit. Your spirit is your supernatural dimension—the part of you that connects directly with God. In contrast, your soul serves as a bridge between your spirit and body, encompassing your natural will, intellect, and emotions. Although we are always connected to God in the spirit realm, we are not always consciously aware of this connection, nor do we consistently live from our spirit first. Yet, living from the spirit is foundational for true healing, deeper intimacy with God, and alignment with His purposes. Choosing to live from the spirit allows God’s presence to flow through every aspect of your life.

  • Spring - One of four personality temperaments in the soul, along with Autumn, Winter, and Summer.   The Autumn highlights that the will has an appetite for goodness; the Winter highlights that the intellect has an appetite for truth; the Spring highlights that the emotions have an appetite for beauty; and the Summer highlights the appetite for harmonic oneness of all of them.

  • Soul - The dimension of a person that bridges the supernatural realm of the spirit and the natural dimension of the body. It contains the will, intellect, and emotions; as well as the Child Parts within the family of the human person. The soul translates our spiritual connection with God and our physical experience in the world.

  • Soul Tie – A soul tie is a link with another person in the natural soul realm, typically considered a negative connection that needs to be brought to God for healing. It functions like a door between two houses that is not under God’s supervision, allowing unhealthy influence or attachment to persist. Healing a soul tie involves inviting God to restore healthy boundaries and bring freedom to both individuals.

  • Sowing Prayer - The act of surrendering something to God and presenting it as a seed that must die so that God can raise it up for greater fruitfulness. For example, giving money to a ministry in an area where you also desire growth is a way of saying to God, “I want a share of the increase in this area.” This act of sowing invites God to multiply and bless what has been entrusted to Him, turning sacrifice into abundance.

  • Stewardship - These are the spiritual and natural things we possess that are not an intrinsic part of our being. This includes charismatic gifts, angels, finances, pets, cars, houses, time, and more. Such possessions are entrusted to us to co-steward with God, in using them to bring Heaven on earth.

  • Strongholds – Fortresses in the Second Heaven established by dark entities, often understood as higher-ranking demons or principalities, that use human free will choices as their building blocks.

  • Structures – Enemy castles in your Promised Land, sometimes occupied.  For example, a system of repressive religious rules can act as a barriers that restrict your ability to fully enter and enjoy your Promised Land.

  • Systems - A set of coordinated agreements or built to restrict the plans of God.  Networks of strongholds.

  • Teacher – 1.) The third of the seven spiritual temperaments with an emphasis on mentoring, knowledge, responsibility, and organization of principles.  2.) One of the five “jobs” or offices listed in Ephesians 4:11, along with apostle, pastor, prophet, evangelist.  Everyone has a mantle baked into their birthright, which is accessed upon maturity.  God will not call a child to do the mission of an adult.  The call of the The counterfeit of the Teacher mantle is the Prince of Greece.

  • Timeline - The representation of events of a person’s life arranged in chronological order. For example, when healing a child part, Jesus may show you a vision of that child part in the past, sitting at the point on the timeline where the trauma occurred.

  • Trinity – A description of God that is proper but less accurate, and inadvertently reduces the emphasis on God as a family: Father God, Mother Holy Spirit, and Jesus. The entire plot of God’s epic story is that humanity is invited to marry into the family of God.

  • Tongues – A supernatural personal prayer language—commonly known as glossolalia (in contrast to xenolalia, which is speaking in a natural foreign language)—is often described as the charism where God prays for you. While this is certainly a valid description, the gift may be even better understood as a form of “kissing” with God: an intimate, artistic, and often wordless communication. It is not exercised for any practical purpose other than to be enjoyed for its own sake, embodying a deep, relational connection with God.

  • Trafficking - How dark forces harvest a person or group: by taking them and their possessions, and then compelling them to do the same to others.

  • Universalism – Unfortunately, this term may carry the connotation of an obscure early church heresy, but is actually not. Instead, it refers to the extrordinary theology that hell is finite and is not primarily punitive, but restorative. This was the prevailing view for several centuries in the early church, and today, about 20% of Christians hold this belief. See also: Restoration of All Things and Apokatastasis.

  • Winter - One of four personality temperaments in the soul, along with Autumn, Spring, and Summer.  The Autumn highlights that the will has an appetite for goodness; the Winter highlights that the intellect has an appetite for truth; the Spring highlights that the emotions have an appetite for beauty; and the Summer highlights the appetite for harmonic oneness of all of them.

  • Witchcraft - The process of manipulating another person, whether intentional or not, conscious or not, and whether supernatural or natural. Supernatural witchcraft involves the direct intention to harm another, such as through the exercise of a curse. Many are less aware that this is actually a counterfeit of the true power that a child of God possesses—to supernaturally bless others by intending God’s love on earth as it is in Heaven.

”Solid food is for the mature, who by constant use have trained themselves to distinguish good from evil.”
Hebrews 5:14
