KEY POINTS
Secure Attachment to God's Heart — Many people are good at asking for healing but might not receive it because less conscious parts of us can prevent it from deeper places — especially in very tender nurturing places that grew out and became bigger as we got older.
Starting From Calm —Healthy attachment is where your nervous system is so imbued with calm from your parents that it images God’s love. This isn't a conscious mental thing — it's something more basic. Places that lack attachment are where cycling thoughts originate.
Attaching to Ourselves — Beyond just attaching to God, we must attach to ourselves and allow God to help us attach to ourselves.
How Atmospheres Affect Us — There are atmospheres in the spirit that affect the nervous system of a group collectively — this can be the larger cultural zeitgeist revealing what's going on in the spiritual realm. These can amplify certain feelings and give you an experience of feelings that aren't originally yours.
Macro and Micro Systems — Macro systems are large groups of agreements outside of us, such as family, church, culture, and time seasons. Micro systems are parts of us that might not be in harmony such as child parts.
Child Parts Need Security — Detached parts of you need to attach both to God and to your core self; this is something like a child reuniting with the husband (Christ the Bridegroom) and wife (the bride — you).
Curiosity Over Coercion — Rather than rejecting difficult parts of ourselves, we should approach them with curiosity, asking “what's the story?” This creates connection, meets the part where they are, and allows God to minister to those wounded places instead of urging them to believe harder.
Spiritual Bypassing Bypasses Healing — Simply commanding struggling parts to give up their job is spiritual bypassing, whereas healing arises from the nurture of warmth and safety.
Self-Compassion Enables Love for Others — Loving yourself isn't selfish. Jesus told us to love others as we love ourselves, which requires that we actually do love ourselves. Self-compassion isn't opposed to loving others — it enables it.
We Already Know How to Receive — Everyone has been a baby who drank milk from a bottle. The capacity to receive and attach is already built into us from infancy. We are naturally designed to be nurtured by the Holy Spirit.
God’s Love Goes To Us and Through Us — It’s much harder to love others wherever we are not being loved by God. Based on our agreements, God may sometimes flow around us -- but normally He wants to flow through us.
Visions of Dancing in Freedom — Zia saw multiple people dancing with Jesus in visions throughout the session, representing God bringing them into a place where they're free to dance — rekindling and building new relationships in freedom.
The Ultimate Owner
The treasury that I joyfully share with you happens to be all mine, to begin with as well as end with.
So release every fear of controlling what is not yours to control.
Look around at the wealth of beauty everywhere. You don’t fear controlling the rivers, the sky, the fields—anything else that is a part of your life of which you have little or no responsibility. So leave it all to Me to manage peacefully. Attempting to assign random control over creation will only frustrate you.
I entrust you with a wondrous amount of things, people, and events in your lifetime to which you are called to be the cheerful steward.
But since I am the ultimate owner, you can only work in conjunction with Me to handle them successfully and well. Whenever you depart from this ownership relation, things can go terribly amiss. And then you will lose too much; your peace, your vision, your witness, your hope, your success, essentially, your ability to be parented by Me.
Do not let anxiety draw you in to a small, self-created world, away from Me. That is a lonesome place, one that exacerbates worry. “The Lord is your light and your rescue—whom do you fear?”
Bring Me in where you lack, My child. At the point where you begin to feel out of control, call again on your loving Father; for it is here I have purposed to do My part, where you will witness My power, My intervention, My answer.
You will see, feel, touch, and know the difference.
“Fear is cast out by perfect love.”
